Mark Farnsworth has been invited to speak at industry conference | Tong Garden Centre
We’re very proud that our Managing Director, Mark Farnsworth, has been invited to talk at a major horticultural industry conference in Birmingham this month.
Mark will take part in a panel discussion at the Horticulture Week ‘Garden 360’ conference at Birmingham Botanical Gardens on 13th June.
The title of the discussion is ‘Reducing plastic usage in horticulture’ and fellow panel members include Guy Barter, Chief Horticulturist for the RHS and Jonathan Whittemore from Johnson’s of Whixley.
Mark said: “It’s a great honour to be asked to sit on a discussion panel at Garden 360 to discuss the issues with plastic products and their disposal and the need for a suitable alternative with respected industry executives.”
The one day Garden 360 event brings together stakeholders from across the garden industry to address the most pressing challenges they are facing and to come up with effective strategies in order to build resilient businesses in an era of constant change.
Garden 360 is organised by Horticulture Week, and other subjects being addressed at the summit include ‘How can the garden industry go from being great to being exceptional?’ and ‘Overcoming the challenge of recruiting, training and retaining talented staff’.
