OUR MONTHLY GARDENING GUIDES
JOBS FOR February
Spring is almost in sight and your garden is beginning to awake from it’s winter slumber. Bulbs will begin to appear and wildlife will start to return to your garden as the days get longer and temperatures increase.
It’s still a month of preparation, whether you’re sowing seeds, tidying up your lawn or showing your garden a little TLC, so grab your coat and head outside as your garden begins to come to life!
Start sowing your seeds
Growing from seed is the cheapest and most rewarding way to grow own – all it takes is a little patience. Start by sowing your seeds indoors, whether it’s herbs and vegetables or your favourite summer bedding plants such as Lobelia, Dianthus and Geranium.
TIME FOR A GOOD CLEAN
It may not be the most glamourous job but now is an ideal time to give your greenhouses, pots and containers a good clean before the growing season starts! Plants will live longer and look better if your pots are clean so get out into the garden and get scrubbing.
