Santa’s Grotto & Breakfast with Santa Tickets NOW AVAILABLE

We’re excited to share the news that the National Science and Media Museum will be hosting some fun drop in play sessions in August.

On August 5th, 12th, 19th, and 26th, visitors to Grass Hoppers indoor and outdoor play at Tong Garden will be able to participate in fun activities and science demonstrations led by the a team of the museum’s top explainers. It is part of the museum’s drive to bring science to children this summer with an exciting programme of free activities across Bradford.

“Since the National Science and Media Museum is still closed until January, we needed some exciting new places to go for Summer. Grass Hoppers is one of the top places to visit in Bradford and the photos looked awesome, so we knew we’d have lots of fun,” said Emma Hart, schools and families producer at the National Science and Media Museum.

“Depending on when you come, you’ll either be able to create a straw rocket and see how far you can blast it off into space, design a storyboard for a film or make a mixture to help a very large animal brush its teeth, so don’t miss out!” said Assistant Manager at Grass Hoppers, Rebecca Ure, who has organised the sessions with the team at the museum.

The sessions take place every Monday in August between 9.45 am and 4 pm. Entry to the drop in sessions is free with your Grass Hoppers ticket, which costs £7.95 and must be pre-booked online at https://grasshoppersplay.co.uk/. Each child’s ticket comes with two free adult tickets.

The drop in sessions are part of a summer of fun at Grass Hoppers at Tong that includes an 8th play free offer for Green Card members, Hoppers Penalty shoot (6th August), Party Dances (8th August), Giant Games (13 August) and Giant Bubbles and Chalks (20/22 August).
